2020 St. Louis Metro Boxing Showdown canceled

34th annual Budweiser Guns ‘N Hoses had been postponed

ST. LOUIS (Feb. 01, 2021): The St. Louis Metro Boxing Showdown, also known as Budweiser Guns ‘N Hoses, originally scheduled for Nov. 25, 2020, has officially been canceled. The organization had hoped to reschedule the event in February or March 2021. The organization is planning to host a check presentation in the Spring 2021 for The BackStoppers from funds raised leading up to the 2020 event.

“When we postponed the November event we had hoped by this time the COVID-19 outbreak would have been better contained,” said David Stokes, president of Grey Eagle Distributors. “Although Budweiser Guns ‘N Hoses is canceled, we’re continuing to pursue our goal of raising money for The BackStoppers thanks to our generous sponsors.”

“Guns ‘N Hoses will be back November 24, 2021, and better than ever,” said Steve Holley, executive director of the Guns ‘N Hoses Boxing Association. “Our support of The BackStoppers and our first responders will never stop. The show must go on.”
